Far I am enjoying my time at Santee Lakes Campground. Ms Anne is very accommodating and I enjoy spending time with my dogs at the lake. The Price is Right only negative is that the laundry is rarely open and there's no hot water in one of the shower houses, but the other one works just fine.
Went to visit a friend who leases a spot year round. Very clean campground. No loud parties or drinking going on. It's gated too. Pools, clubhouse.
I called becuase of Hurricane Irma, the lady was very helpful and although she said they really don't take reservations, I asked if I could give CC info just to make sure. We then decided to leave a day earlier, and I emailed that request which was answered shortly after. Nice place, escort you to your spot, and help you get in place. Very pleasant experience.
Horrible and filthy. Loud and creepy. But I love the owners comments on the reviews. They’ve made me laugh. Honestly though, the place is a dump.
I have gone to Santee Campground many many many times over the years, before I had children and after. It is perfect for what we wanted and needed. A spot of ground for a tent, electric in case of emergency/need, and indoor plumbing bathrooms. Beautiful spot, very friendly residents.
